The School of Applied Sciences has been ranked 1st of 37 UK Modern University for Criminology, 3rd of 49 UK Modern University for Sociology and 8th of 57 UK Modern University for Psychology, says The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2020. According to The Guardian Good University Guide 2020, the school has been ranked 10th of 47 UK Modern University for Sports Science.

School of arts and Creative Industries

The School of Computing offers a wide range of courses from cyber security to creative computing. The school has unique facilities that enrich the learning experience. The facilities include Code Lab; Two Digital Media Labs; an Internet of Things lab; a Cisco networking lab; a lab for Security and Forensics; Visual Effects lab; the Sensorium, a high spec UX lab (including eye tracking and facial expression analysis software.)

All the surveying courses are accredited to the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). The Architectural Technology course is accredited by both the Chartered Institute of Building and the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologies. The school also offers Graduate Apprenticeship from The Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologies.

The Engineering department offers courses in the fields of:

School of Health and Social Care

The School offers wide range of courses in the fields of:

The Centre is run by a specialized team of nurses, doctor and midwives and handles several practice areas from community and critical care to general and labour wards. The combination of volunteer patients, trauma make-up experts and mannequins make the training experience extremely accurate.
