Engineering

It is one of the largest engineering faculty in Scotland. It offers courses that are accredited by professional engineering institutions except Biomedical Engineering. The department offers its students hands – on industry experience through its industrial links with organizations such as BP, Iberdrola, The Royal Academy of Engineering, The Lloyd’s Register Foundation and Atkins. The department has distinct facilities that include the Advanced Forming Research Centre, the Power Networks Demonstration Centre and the Advanced Space Concepts Lab. According to The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2021, The department is ranked 5th for Chemical Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical and Manufacturing Engineering and ranked 7th for Civil Engineering.

The department of Engineering in Strathclyde offers an Engineering Academy program which is an alternative route into the university and employment as a Strathclyde student. The first year is an enhanced HNC programme with direct transfer into the second year of one of our engineering degrees. The Academy is a collaboration between the University of Strathclyde, partner colleges and the engineering industry.

Science

The Faculty of Science in Strathclyde is one of the UK’s leading faculties of Science. Research is a crucial factor at the faculty of Science. The Science Faculty in the university has strong links with industry, partners and the NHS. According to The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2021, The Faculty of Science is ranked number 1 for Subjects Allied to Medicine, Physics research and ranked 5th for Biological Science.  Faculty of Science offers several courses amongst the following departments:

The Business School in Strathclyde is one of the only 90 business schools in the world to hold triple accreditation status. The Business School is esteemed for its innovation in business and management education and is a pioneer in the study of marketing. It is preferred for its Hunter Centre for Entrepreneurship which supports aspiring entrepreneurs and business start-ups. According to The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2021, Strathclyde Business school is ranked number 1 for Accounting and Finance; ranked 3rd for Communication and Media Studies; ranked 5th for Economics and ranked 7th for Business Studies.

Business School also allows flexible learning where the scholars can choose any combination of subjects tailored for themselves or choose from the following existing courses:

Strathclyde Business School has several international partnerships in Europe, Australia, Singapore, China and the US and has strong links with industries and the NHS including Google, Diageo, NHS, Ministry of Defence, Scottish Water, Scottish Power. Humanities & Social Sciences

The Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences contribute to the economy, society and culture of Scotland. University of Strathclyde is known to have one of the top Law schools in Scotland. The Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences have six departments viz.
